She explained that all efforts to get in touch with her husband practically proved futile as his superiors at the unit refused to explain the whereabout of her husband, threatened  to get her arrested if she continued to “disturb” them.

“My  husband and I used to communicate on daily basis,  and he told me that he was traveling with his ‘Oga’ to Lagos on July 27, 2017, I later called him but someone else picked his call.

“I went to his office and nobody was telling me anything,  they later told me to stop coming to their office and threatened to arrest me.

“I later got to know through his bank that his salary was stopped in January; it has been a though time for me and our four children,  I need to know what happened to my husband since July”, she resorted.

It was gathered through investigation that Ibrahim was directly serving under one CSP Jouinus Uchena Iwuh and Inspector Joy Peter, who have now been posted out of Osun to Rivers and Lagos States  respectively when the case lasted..

Meanwhile, our reporter got Salawu, whom the missing  police man was attached with on phone,  he said there was a case of armed robbery along Ilesha-Ife express road, during which” Ibrahim opened the door of the car and ran inside bush”.

He further explained that he had reported the case at the Osun  State Police Command.

“I have reported the case at the Osun State Police Command, if you want to find out the details you can go there, I also informed the wife what happened to her husband.

“I wonder what the woman  is talking about, after all I have been paying for her children’s school fees since then”,  Salawu said.

In his reaction, the Assistant Inspector General of police in charge of zone 11, which comprises Osun, Ondo, and Oyo, Agboola Oshodi-Glover said that the case is being investigated.

He added that the police command is making frantic efforts to get to the root of the case soonest.

“It is not correct that the woman was ever being  threatened by anyone, that is not correct,  we are investigating the matter, the command is making efforts to get to the root of the case.

“The transfer of his superior officers from the unit has nothing to do with the case,  it is just a normal routine transfer in the force”.
