Ajimobi’s Wife Tasks Women On Righteousness, Humane In Children Upbringing
By Olu Babalola, Ibadan
The first Lady in Oyo state and initiator of Women Intercessory Network,Mrs Florence Ajimobi has counseled foster mothers and guardians to be humane in the upbringing and nurturing of children and wards who may be put under their care.
Mrs Ajimobi noted that this was very imperative because children always remember very well , the training as well as maltreatment given to them while they were young.
She gave the advice during the April Programme of Women Intercessory Network which took place in Ibadan the State capital.
“If you are given a child or children to be looked after by a relation who is unable to cater for them, treat such child or children as if they are your own. They will always remember any maltreatment which they might have suffered while they were under your care
“No one can tell what a child left uncatered for today may become in the nearest future.Do your best possible for such children. You will discover later how God will compensate you by taking care of your own children who may be elsewhere,She said.
She gave her personal experience as an example when at a time during her youthful days, her rights were denied her by relations with who She stayed while her parents travelled abroad adding that She could not forget the ugly experience till today.
The Initiator of WIN who said that She was grateful for where God has led her today and admonished women to be very close to God in prayers who could solve all problems no matter how serious they might be.
Women ministers of God who were present at the occasion who included Pastor ,(Mrs) C.Popoola and others jointly prayed for Mrs Ajimobi on her 59 th birthday Anniversary.
She had earlier donated an ICT computer Centre to The Polytechnic Ibadan disclosing that the Centre was her pay back to her almamata.
“Today ,to the glory of God and in commemoration of my 59th birthday, I am donating the 4th ICT Centre to my almamata because I realise there is a great need for this intervention in this institution. It is my hope that this will open new vistas of opportunities to all who are privileged to use it.I urge you to give good maintenance of both building and equipment utmost priority.,She added.
