3 Suspects Remanded In Prison For Threatening Monarch’s Life In Osun

An Osogbo Chief Magistrates Court in Osun State has ordered the Remand of three men in prison custody for allegedly threating to kill Oba Abeed Adetoyose Agbaje, the Olu of ile ogbo town and Shittu Kehinde with guns and other dangerous weapons.
The three accused person Wasiu Adeyinka 51, Aderibigbe Adekunle 45 and Lasisi Kehinde 25 were arraigned on Wednesday before Magistrate M. A Awodele on seven-count charge bothering on conspiracy, robbery and possession of firearms with threat to life.
The magistrate ordered the Remandof the trio due to magnitude of the offence.
The prosecutor,Inspector Joshua Oladoye told the court that the defendants committee the offence between 17 November, 2017 and 26 April, 2018 at Bovas filling station area, Ile-Ogbo Osun state.
Insp. Oladoye said that the accused persons stole a bag containing one Nokia phone value at N12000 with sum of N153,300 property of one prince Popoola Olawore
He further explained that the accused took guns, cutlasses and other dangerous weapon to threaten Oba Abeeb Adetoyose Agbaje (Olu of ile Ogbo town) and chief Shittu Kehinde to kill them.
The offence according to the prosecutor contravened Section 6(b) and punishable under Section 1(i) of the Robbery and Firearms (special provisions) Act Cap R11 Volume 14 Laws of Federation of Nigeria.
The three defendant were represented by Barrister Mrs B. Y Dada and their plea was not taken
The Magistrate,Mrs M. A Awodele while giving her ruling ordered that the accused be remanded in custody at an Ilesha prison.
She,thereafter, adjourned the case till June18, 2018 for mention at Iwo Magistrate court.
