Lasun Yusuff Commissions Four Maternity Centres In Osun

The Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representative, Rt Hon Lasun Yusuff has commissioned four maternity centres he facilitated to his federal constituency.

The maternity centres according a statement by the Special Adviser to the Deputy Speaker on Constituency Relations, Prof. Aderemi Ajala and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo on Tuesday are located in Irepodun and Osogbo local government areas.

Prof Ajala further explained that the projects were part of Hon Yusuff’s constituency projects for 2017 budget year.

He said that the Handing over was done by Hon Rotimi Bidmus, a special adviser to Rt. Hon Yussuff on his behalf on Monday February 5, this year.

Enumerating some of the projects which Hon. Yussuff has facilitated to his constituency Prof Ajala quoted Hon Bidmus to have mentioned the construction of seven schools with each having 32 classsrooms; two mini dams; construction of 17 kilometre roads across the federal constituency.

Others are; training and empowerment of 1200  people in different vocations, supply and installation of eleven electricity  transformers and construction of seventeen solar fitted boreholes.

He further noted that the present project was a test run of Hon Yusuff’s health care programme that he plans as part of his health care projects  for Osun State as a gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress in 2018 governorship election in the state.

“The community leaders of the localities where the projects are cited showed their interests and enthusiasms on the timely completion of the projects.

They all noted that, that was the first time they would witness the completion of constituency projects and thereby thanked Rt. Hon. Lasun Yussuff, promising to take good care of the projects.” Prof Ajala said.

While recieving the projects on behalf of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Oyesiji the Zonal Director of NPHCDA, expresed her delights and thanked Hon. Yussuff.

She stated that there was a need for continued support from the community on provision of health care system, noting that the intervention from the Deputy Speaker was in recognition of that ideology.

She also announced that Hon. Lasun Yussuff has also offered to support suppplies of drugs in the maternity centre.

The projects are located in Ganga  and Oke Ima in Irepodun Local Government and Ago Ayo and Oke Ijetu in Osogbo Local Government Area.
