Osun 2018: APC Insists On Primary
The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun has promised to ensure credible and transparent primary among its 27 aspirants ahead of Sept. 22 gubernatorial election in the state.
Prince Gboyega Famodun, the state party chairman said this on Wednesday at party’s Secretariat located along Gbongan/Ibadan road, Osogbo
Famodun , who noted that there was agitations for zoning of the party’s ticket to the west senatorial district of the state, said the party would be guided by its constitution.
” Although l have respect for people of the west but I stand with the party’s constitution. We would allow the delegates to cast their vote for the candidates of their choice.”
” Since we are going to the primary, whatever the wishes of delegates, I will abide but I will ensure ensure open and transparent primary” Famodun said.
While speaking with CityMirrorNews, Princess Dayo Fashola said all the aspirants contesting on the platform of APC should be given equal opportunity to contest regardless of their senatorial district, saying it is in accordance with the constitution of the party.
Princess Fashola who is the spokeperson for Ilerioluwa campaign organization said they are ready for the primary, urging the party leadership to ensure a level playing ground.
