Osun Police Nab Woman For Killing Stepdaughter, Burning Mother

Osun Police Command on Thursday arrested a house wife, one Mrs Folashade Olawale, 42, and two others, suspected to have set ablaze the house of her stepwife, Mrs Olawale Kadija, 20, and as a result killing the stepwife’s 3-year-old daughter.
According to Mr Olafimihan Adeoye, Osun Commissioner of Police, the husband of the suspect, Oba Morufudeen Olawale, 45, the Alabudo of Abudo, Abudo Village in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun, reported the incident to the police.
Adeoye said it was reported that the suspect and her accomplices, at about 1am, on June 6, left their base in Ede for Abudo Village, where the stepwife and her late daughter resides, and set her house ablaze while they were both inside.
He said consequently, the inferno led to the death of the stepwife’s daughter while the stepwife herself was seriously injured and later admitted at a private hospital where she is receiving treatment.
He said police investigation further revealed that the house wife was the third wife of Mr Olawale, the man who reported the matter to the police, while the victim was his fourth wife.
Adeoye however said the three arrested suspects would all soon be charged to court
