Saka-Layonu Condoles Lagos Fire Victims
A frontline aspirant in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun, Dr. Ismail Abiodun Saka-Layonu SAN has condoled with the victims and Government of Lagos State over the Otedola Bridge Lagos-Ibadan Express Way fire outbreak last week.
Dr. Saka-Layonu SAN made the expression on Friday in his hometown, Ede where he described the incident which erupted from a fuel laden tanker, officially claiming nine lives and fifty four vehicles razed in flames as a tragic incident.
He said, “the tanker explosion which occurred at the Otedola Bridge, Lagos end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, after a petrol-laden tanker crashed and exploded is a regrettable situation, particularly on the lives lost and valuables that got burnt.”
“My heartfelt condolences go to the families of the dead, the survivors and the Lagos State Government under the governorship of His Excellency, Dr. Akinwunmi Ambode. I pray that Lagos and the entire Nigeria shall never experience such tragedy again.”
“I thank God for His mercy over the lives of the survivors, while I wish those who sustained various degrees of injury a speedy recovery.”
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace. Amen.”
