Police Arraign Man, 30, Over Theft Of Phones, Jewelries

A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo on Wednesday arraigned a 30-year-old man, Folorunso Bamidele for stealing mobile phones worth thousands of naira.
Bamidele was alleged to have stolen one lenovo tablet phone valued N200,000, one HP laptop valued at N150,000, and N84,600 worth of jewelries, belonging to one Toyin Adeyemo.
The Police prosecutor,Inspector Olayiwola Rasaq informed the court that the accused person committed the offence on March 1, 2018 between the hours of 8am and 4pm, at No.14 Barrister Ajibola street, behind Ilesa garage,Oshogbo.
Rasaq said Bamidele broke into the house of the complainant to steal the aforementioned items, adding that the accused by this act has committed an offence contrary, and punishable under section 516 of criminal code cap 34 vol.11 laws of Osun State, 2003.
The accused person , who was not represented by any counsel however pleaded not guilty to the 3- count charge levelled against him.
The Magistrate, Mr O.A Ayilara thereafter adjourned the case till October 24 for hearing.
