Baptist Youths Loses President, Francis Bakut

The National President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Convention, Bro. Francis Illiya Bakut is dead.

Bakut died early hour this morning at Alliance Hospital, Area 11 Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The Youth President was at First Baptist Church, Garki, Abuja yesterday, Sunday to commemorate the 2018 Youth Week celebration from where he addressed Nigerian Baptist Youths.

CityMirrorNews gathered that Bakut delivered his fraternal greetings during the two services at the Church before complaining to his wife during the second service that his health was failing.

He was rushed to the office of the senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Israel Akanji where he was attended to by not less than five doctors. He was stabilised and later transferred to Alliance Hospital where he succumbed to the cold hands of death.

Bakut was sworn in at the 44th Annual Session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Convention, NBCYC, held at Bowen University, Iwo, Osun state in 2016 for a three year tenure.

He was said not to have shown any sign of ill health before he attended the service yesterday, Sunday.

Bakut, was in his late thirties and survived by his young wife, aged father, three sisters and one brother.
