2019 Elections: Adetimehin Emerges ADC Candidate For Ekiti South Federal Constituency

Prince Abiodun Adetimehin from Ikere Ekiti, has emerged the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in Ekiti South Federal Constituency one in the next year’s election.

His emergence was consequent upon a consensus and affirmation principle adopted by the party to nominate those who will fly it’s flag across the 6 Federal Constituencies and 3 senatorial districts of the state.

The exercise which was conducted at the ADC Ekiti State secretariat in Ajilosun was supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission in line with the Electoral Act 2010 as amended.

Addressing party members, Chairman of the Party in the South West, Mr Kola Olawolu described the African Democratic Congress as the most credible alternative to the status quo in Nigeria.

Mr Olawolu charged the candidates of the party to sell it’s manifesto in their campaigns to demonstrate to the electorate that the ADC was ready to change the face of governance in Nigeria.

Also, state Chairman of the party, Prince Afolayan Akutupu explained that the ADC adopted the consensus option to avoid the unjustifiable spending and fierce competition associated with party primaries.

Prince Afolayan appealed the people that the ADC was ready to go into a new social contract with them,bothering on Transparency and accountability.

Accepting his nomination as the ADC candidate for Ekiti South Federal Constituency one, Prince Abiodun Adetimehin said he had entered into a covenant with God that He should use him to deliver His people just as He used Moses.

Prince Adetmehin who recalled that he had invested much resources into touching the people in the area of Education and Health said the target result could only be achieved if government is in the hand of people if good conscience which he represents.

Ekiti South Federal Constituency one comprises of Ikere, Ekiti southwest and Ise/Orun Local governments.
