Suspected Kidnappers In Military Camouflage Arrested In Osun

Three kidnap suspects in military camouflage were on Saturday paraded in Osogbo, by the Osun state police command along ten others arrested for various criminal acts.

The trio, Henry Omenihu (24), Paul Chituru (24) and Henry Bright (18) were nabbed over their involvement in the kidnap of Mr. Kayode Agbeganji, the Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Ondo state Chapter and his wife, Oyeyemi Agbeganji.

The suspects who were among ten others paraded for various criminal acts by the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Mr Fimihan Adeoye were arrested in Osu in Atakumosa west local government of Osun State on the 29th of May, 2018.

The police boss disclosed that the suspects carried out their nefarious activities on the 14th of April and collected the ransom they placed over their victims in Cross Rivers state before they left their victims off the hook.

However according to the CP, the suspects were fished out of their hideout following thorough search and investigation.

He noted that the suspects would be arraigned in court immediately investigation was concluded.

In a related development, the Commissioner took time to advise the public to be very careful of whom they employed as housemaid or guards to avoid loss of valuables and even lifes.

The advice was given on the heels of a house-maid and her husband who employed the service of one Azeez Hammed and conspired to rob a woman of her valuables worth N18million.

The couple, David Ibitoye and Ifeola Ibitoye along with their cohort harmed themselves with dangerous weapons and pounced on the woman in her house, inflicted injuries on her and made away with valuables, cash and jewelry totalled N18million.

According to the CP, Ifeola was a house maid disengaged by the woman who happened to be her employer. Few months after her disengagement, Ifeola, her husband and Hammed launched offensive against the woman and strip her of her valuables.

The CP said that other suspects were arrested with assorted riffles and other dangerous weapons within Ejigbo and Iwo area for related offenses to included robbery, ttheft.

He said the suspects have been terrorising Ejigbo and Iwo community ,robbing them of their valuables and monies.

” There is a couple who have been involved in dispossessing of motorcyclists of their properties and also robbing the public with ssaulted riffle.

” The couple went to Ile-Igbo on May 18 and dispossessed a man of his motorcycle and took the bike to Lagos where they were arrested .

” We have another couple who the wife conspired with her employer’s driver to defraud her the sum of N18 Million worth of jewelries.

” The suspect was an house help to her employer and later left to organised an attack against her Boss,” Adeoye said.

The Police Commissioner further said a one- Man squad who pretends to take on a bike to an unknown destination and along the way, stop the cyclist and shoot him to cart away the motorcycle was also paraded.

Adeoye, warned the members of the public to be vigilant and know who they employed as house help for their own safety.

He said he was however happy that the police was able to make the arrests and promised that necessary legal actions would be taken against the criminals .

Mr Adeoye who enjoined the general public to beware of whom they employed noted that investigation was ongoing adding that they will be arranged immediately investigation was concluded.
