Osun 2018: SDP To Hold Primary Election July 18
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has fixed July 18, 2018 for Osun State Governorship Primary election.
A statement signed by National Organising Secretary of the party, Hon Emeka Atuma on saturday said aspirants are expected to pick expression of interest form from June 20-27, 2018.
According to the statement, party’s ward congress will hold on June 9, follow by local government congress while State congress is slated for June 23.
Our correspondent reports that the former deputy governor in the state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has declared interest to contest on the platform of SDP.
Omisore recently decamped from PDP to SDP following the unresolved leadership crisis in Osun PDP
