Easter: Rev Mother Esther Ajayi Charges Nigerians To Emulate Christ In Selfless Sacrifice For Others
The General Overseer of Love of Christ Generation Church, United Kingdom, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi has called on Christians to make greater sacrifices in the footsteps of Jesus Christ who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of mankind.
Reverend Ajayi also said that the privileged Nigerians must do more for the poor, this according to her was in akin to the lessions of Easter.
She made call in the Easter message she personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lagos on Sunday.
Urging the people on the need to be kind to the less privilege, Reverend Ajayi said in the spirit of unconditionally love and selflessness that Easter celebrations typifies, it was incubent upon each and every one of them to imbibe the spirit of giving even when it is not convienent.
It is while doing this, that they will be following the biblical injunctions of selflessness, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ, when he laid down His life to redeem sinners.” She emphasised
The far famed spiritual leader, who is also the initiator and the founder of the Esther Ajayi Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that specialises in helping the poor, said the world will be a better place to live, if we have do more in helping the others.
“The lesson of Easter is love and selflessness. Christ Jesus was selfless and is still selfless till this hour by accepting to die for us the sinners. He didn’t commit any sin, yet he laid down his life for us the sinners.
“In line with this great act of our Lord Jesus Christ, we should imbibe the spirit of giving. Those that have should remember those that do not have. That is what we do mainly in Esther Ajayi Foundation. This season and even beyond, let’s show love by helping those that need it”, the statement concluded.
