2019 General Elections:Oyo Women Hold Prayers For Peaceful Conduct

Over 2000 women in Oyo State on Saturday took the 2019 general elections to God in prayers in view of the insecurity in some parts of the country and the general tension in the nation’s polity.
The main thrust of their intercession was that God in his infinite mercy, should pick at all levels, leaders after his heart who would make peace,prosperity and fear of God and love of the masses their main priority.
Under the auspices of Women Intercessory Network (WIN) ,women Ministers at the forum convened by the Oyo State First Lady,Mrs. Florence Ajimobi included among others, Reverend Olawumi Popoola, Pastor Bose Ola -Samuel ,Evangelist Toun Soetan ,Mrs Bimbo Okutinyang,Pastor Ife Odoginyan and some top govevernment functionaries.
Evangelist Toun Soetan after her prophetic declaration for the country admonished all Nigerians to be fully committed to the prayer for the country as we move closer to the 2018 general elections.
“We implore all watchers/intercessors and indeed all lovers of our dear nation Nigeria, to spare just five minutes daily at 12 noon from now till the end of elections for aggressive prayers for the success of next year’s elections,She recommended.
Deaconness Ajimobi who reminisced on the establishment of WIN,declared that God has been very faithful to her and all executives of the programme which,according to her,has changed the state positively,economically, spiritually and in all aspects of life for residents of the state.
She disclosed that the government being headed by her husband has restored absolute peace into the state pointing out that the power of prayer can change bad situations to good.
Mrs Ajimobi stated that WIN prayer programme which started with 100 women has increased membership to 2000 adding that a mega prayer programme would come up on February 2 next year where more women nation wide witness and benefit from.
In a subtle manner she campaigned for the choice successor of her husband Mr.Adebayo Adelabu whose wife Mrs Seyi Adelabu is a committed believer like herself.
She assured that Mrs.Adelabu would sustain the prayer programme because nobody can succeed in life without the support of God,the giver of all good things.
Mrs. Ajimobi commended Reverend Popoola who was a strong pillar in the birth of WIN adding that She would ensure She attends the programme when a new First Lady takes over next year.
“I am using this opportunity to call on our mothers here to use their power to vote in Mrs.Adelabu whose husband like Governor Ajimobi,would sustain this prayer programme and ensure that all good legacies that would be left are sustained and improved upon She pleaded.
Mrs Ajimobi reiterated the call on the masses to desist from making bad pronouncement on the government and those in power pointing out that all challenges being experienced in the country would become testimony for us all adding “let us be more focussed and prayerful.
