Visitors To Two Hospitals Dance Over Harvest Of New Year Children

Visitors and workers in two government hospitals in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital were on Monday in a state of joy as musicians from Royal Ambassador received  Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the Governor’s wife who came there  to bless new year babies.

The premises of Adeoyo Maternity Hospital and Jericho Specialist Hospital turned carnival  scene with people dancing to songs of joy to welcome the children to life and gifts to
Lthem by the governor’s wife.

Believers of two dominant religions danced hilariously to Christian songs used to rejoice with the lucky families.

At the Adeoyo Teaching Hospital, Mr and Mrs Akeem Suleiman thanked God for the gift of two boys pointing out that they would now be addressed Baba and Mama Ibeji.

Basirat Suleiman who disclosed that she had three children already thanked the governor’s wife for the cash and  other baby gifts received from her.

The husband who identified himself as a petty businessman said that he would be able to cope with the new visitors to their family adding that they were gifts of God.

Mr.Kehinde Gbadamosi who was with his wife in another Ward in the same hospital said that he was grateful to God for the male child adding that he did not expect gifts which came timely from the First Lady.

At the Jericho Specialist Hospital, a baby girl  delivered by Aisha Gbadamosi who identified herself as a fashion Designer received gifts with appreciation to Mrs Ajimobi who she described as a philanthropist.

Baby food items, biscuits and beverages were also donated at Oni M emorial  Teaching Hospital Ring Road Ibadan where Mrs.AtinukeOsunkoya  congratulated the lucky mother’s for their safe delivery.

Osunkoya, the commissioner for women affairs    who represented the governors wife advised women generally to be fully committed to the upbringing and nurturing of their children stressing that they were the future of families
