The Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti has congratulated Nigerian workers most especially, those in the service of the State Government of Osun on the celebration of this year’s annual Worker’s Day.

Adeoti said workers should be grateful to God for the gift of life despite the challenges facing the country.

He said, “Irrespective of whatever anyone is passing through, the gift of life by the Almighty God surpasses every of the current challenges one might be facing”.

He acknowledged sacrifices been made by workers in the state and advised them to be wary of opposition figures in the state noting that government policies was not aimed at punishing them.

He said workers should “not see the current economic challenges facing them as a deliberate policy aimed at punishing them, rather as their own sacrifice for the growth and future prosperity of the state”.

He encouraged them to “refrain from dancing to the beats of the opposition, as they have nothing good up their sleeves to better their lots”.

Adeoti admonished the workers to see beyond the current economic challenges but hope for a better tomorrow that will make them forget their current challenges.

“I want to assure the workers that the current APC administration in the state still has the best of plans for them, irrespective of what the opposition would want them to believe,” he emphasised.

Adeoti enjoined workers “to ensure that they take the opportunity of the ongoing registration of voters to have their permanent voters’ cards by visiting the nearest Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office closer to them”.
