Tinubu Liberates Nigeria from PDP’s Siege – Ex-Osun Council Chair
By Fisayo Oyeyinka
Nigeria would still be under the siege of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but for the political sagacity and sacrifices of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State.
A former council chairman of Ayedire Local Government in Osun State, Mr Gbenga Ogunkanmi made this assertion in a congratulatory message to felicitate with Tinubu on his 65th birthday on Wednesday.
According to Ogunkanmi, Tinubu is the strong foundation and pillar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that wrestled power from the PDP in the 2015 presidential election.
Ogunkanmi described Tinubu as an incontrovertible great politician, strategist, undiluted progressive, visionary, a harbinger of ‘change’ and a patriotic nationalist.
He said Tinubu has contributed his own quota to the development of Nigeria by spending his resources to unseat the PDP which had mismanaged the country’s economic resources as the ruling party then.
The former council boss maintained that it would not be out of place to state that Tinubu installed President Muhammadu Buhari with support from other stakeholders, based on his conviction that Nigeria needs a personality like the president to move forward.
Ogunkanmi said there is no greater political achievement than what Tinubu has achieved as politician in all sphere of life, saying that Asiwaju is a fulfilled politician and quintessential leader among his peers.
He congratulated Tinubu on his 65th birthday, praying for him to live longer on earth in good health.
