Man, 46, Docked for Alleged Breach of Peace in Osun

A 46-year-old man, Salami Akeem was on Monday arraigned before an Osogbo magistrate court for alleged breach of peace and malicious damage.
Akeem was accused of destroying a bail bond at Dugbe Police Station in Osogbo.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Joshua Oladoye alleged that Akeem’s conduct at the police station led to an uproar at the police station.
According to Oladoye, the allegation was contrary to Section 249 (d) and punishable under Section 123 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. II, Law of Osun State
But the accused person entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
Defence counsel, Mr Kazeem Badmus applied for the bail of the suspect in the most liberal term, stating that the charges against the accused person were bailable.
Presiding magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko admitted the suspect to bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties.
Aluko thereafter adjourned the case till March 14, 2017 for hearing.
