Army GOC, Abraham Reiterates Desire To Promote Inter-Brigade Competition

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 2 Division of the Nigeria Army, Major General Martins Abraham has reiterated his readiness and desire not to disappoint his men but rather to promote and encourage inter brigade competition at all level within the 2 Division.

 
Major General Abraham gave the disclosure in Akure, the state capital at the weekend during the closing exercise of the 2 Division Inter-Brigade Warrant Officers and Senior Non-commissioned Officers Competition 2017.
 
According to him, he said that the essence of the competition was to enhance professionalism, leadership training and boosting the confidence among the warrant and senior soldier physically.
 
Abraham therefore urged his men not to relent in their respective duties but rather make use of what they have learnt during the competition at their respective based. 
 
He maintained that the army is for training and retraining always urging the warrant and senior officers of the Nigeria Army to always displayed the discipline people do sees in them.
While congratulating the Commanding of the 32 Artillery Brigade for successfully hosting the competition and participants, GOC charged them not to be disappointed but rather to actualize their performances and correct their mistake in order to come top in future.
His words, “this very gallant warrant and senior officers needs to be applauded in the sense that there is non of them that is less than 30 years of age and they have been able to participate in the competition successfully”.
The overall results of the competition goes does: 1st position with 4000. goes to the host base, 32 Artillery Brigade, 2nd position with 3,800. goes to 22 Brigade, 3rd position with 3000. goes to 4 Brigade, 4th position with 2,800. goes to 2 Division Garrison while the 5th position with 1,600. goes to the 42 Engineering Brigade.
