A Former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has said the ruling All Progressives Congress is a united and disciplined entity unlike the crisis ridden PDP.

Oyinlola who made the assertion while featuring on a live radio programme in Osogbo on Monday contended that the APC is a more coordinated political party with members following the rules.

According to him, this was one of the cogent reasons why he left the erstwhile governing party in the land.

“In the PDP, it is an indiscipline house where everybody thinks and does what he wants in line with his preference and choice. There is no discipline in PDP. You can imagine the former state chairman of the PDP, Ganiyu Olaoluwa setting up a panel headed by Barr Olukanni to investigate me on issues within the national fold of our party.”

“As the National Secretary, I am only due to face a panel instituted by the NEC of our party and not at my state level. So, you see the level of impunity there. Before I left, I told Annenih, David Mark and Jonathan what was happening with my appeal verdict but because some people were bent on removing me as the Secretary, they disregarded the constitution.”

Oyinlola added “In the APC where I now belong to, there is coordination, people follow the rules as stated in the constitution of our party and the wishes of our Elders reign supreme. This is different from what is obtainable in the PDP.”

On APC party politics in Osun, Oyinlola who alluded to the fact that the party has internal crisis said there are moves to settle the ongoing scuffle between Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Hon Lasun Yusuff and Alhaji Fatai Diekola.

He said the current crisis is borne out of ambitions stating that “What we need is peace in Osun APC and that is what is happening currently, I am resolved to let peace reign within the party and we are working towards that.”
