Saraki Announces Names of Buhari’s Ministerial Nominees

Senate President Bukola Saraki has announced the names of the two new ministerial nominees sent to the senate for confirmation by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The nominees are Stephen Ocheni from Kogi State and Suleiman Hassan from Gombe state.

Saraki read Buhari’s letter seeking for the screening and confirmation of the nominees at the plenary today.

Ocheni and Hassan are to fill the vacant ministerial position of their respective states following the death of late Minister for State for Labour, Mr James Ocholi and the resignation of former Minister for Environment, Ms Amina Mohammed.

Mohammed resigned to resume duty as the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations.
