Ex-International Blames Nff for Supersand Eagles Defeat
Former Nigeria international Tajudeen Disu has expressed disappointment in the performance of the Super Sand Eagles in their opening Group B match of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas against Italy.
Nigeria were defeated 12-6 by the Europeans who recovered from a 2-0 deficit in the first period to dominate the rest of the contest.
Abu Azeez (hat-trick), Victor Tale, Godspower Igudia and Emeka Ogbonna scored for the Super Sand Eagles who will play against Mexico on Saturday in their second Group B match.
Disu told newsmen on Friday “These guys (Super Sand Eagles) did not prepare well before they travelled for the Beach Soccer World Cup and if you fail to prepare then you must prepare to fail.”
“When they come back now, the coaches will likely be sacked whereas they are not the problems, the Nigeria Football Federation are the problem.”
