Osun Speaker, Najeem Salaam Calls For Youth Development Through Sport

The Speaker, Osun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam has called on the government to encourage youth to participate in sporting activities to develop their mental skill just as he said,  government should develop the youth through useful engagement in sport.

Salaam stated this  while receiving an award from the Skaters Sport Association of Nigerian(SSAN) in Osogbo at the weekend.
According to him,  engaging Youth in sporting activities will enhance his mental capacity to withstand any situation he founds himself,  thus reducing the Criminal activities in the society.
Speaker Najeem noted that,  developing mental capacity of the Youth will gather enhance socio and economic growth of the society.
He averred that role of the Youth in society is critical and important and government should be ready to promote the youth at all time.
He reiterated his unalloyed commitment to the well keeping of the youth through sport,  saying he will not relent in his oars to develop youth anytime any day.
Speaking earlier,  the National President of the Skaters Sport Association of Nigeria, Engr.Diipo Ogunwuyi said,  the association was formulated to engaged the youth and develop their sporting skills.
He said,  Skating is all about developing mental capability of the youth for the purpose of making them relevant in the scheme of socio development of the society.
Speaking on the award bestowed on the Osun House of Assembly speaker,  Ogunwuyi said,  the honour is to appreciate Hon. Salaam’s immense contribution to the sporting activities in the state and beyond.
He said,  the Association has honoured Hon. Salaam as the Chief Rolling Fellow of Coalition of Nigerian Rollers Sport States to further strengthened his passion for sporting activities.
