Lasun Yusuff Mourns Aborisade’s Death, Says “Ekiti People Have Lost an Illustrious Son”
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Sulaimon Lasun-Yussuff has condoled the family of the former minister of education, Prof Babalola Aborisade over his passing away at the age of 71.
Prof Aborisade who was four-time minister between 1999 to 2011said to have died at the United Kingdom Hospital
Yusuff in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Wole Oladimeji and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo on Thursday, described Aborisade as a politician of note in the South West and in Nigeria as whole.
According to the DS, late Aborisade was a highly educated and a gentle politician who believed in empowering his people.
“He contributed immensely towards improvement of education standard in the country”.
The Deputy Speaker however, said that Ekiti people have lost an illustrious son who never disappointed his when he was alive.
He prayed to God to grant his family, Ekiti state government, the people of Ekiti the fortitude to bear the loss of a great politician and educationist.
