Players of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Plateau united FC of Jos, currently on top of the league, got a major motivation and morale booster of N4 million.

The State Governor, Simon Lalong, had pledged the amount to the players of the Club for remaining at the summit of the NPFL table after the first stanza of the current league season.
The general manager of the club, Pius Henwan, who received the cash reward on behalf of club thanked the Governor and assured that the team will sustain momentum, ensuring that they finish strong at the end of the current league season.
Henwan, who expressed delight at the Governor’s benevolence, noted that the gesture not only indicate that he is a motivator, but also a man of his words.
He appealed to good spirited individuals and corporate organisations in the State to emulate the governor’s good gesture, which will spur the team on to greater heights.
