Festive Period : Osun NUPEC Assures Citizens Of Safety Of Lives, Properties

The National Unity Peace Corps, (The Mediators) has reiterated that, it is fully prepared to ensure peace before, during and new year celebration.

The Osun State  Commandant of the Corps, Comdt.Toyin Moses Ayodele stated this in a chat with newsmen in Osogbo while speaking on level of preparedness of the Corps to guarantee safety during the festive period.

Ayodele who noted that peace was key to national development urged Nigerians to always live in peace for overall development of the nation.

He said the corps had been working assiduously with other security agencies with a view to guaranteeing unity and peaceful co existence in the country.

The Commandant, urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in the face of challenges facing the country saying the suffering  was a passing phase that would soon disappear.

Ayodele, called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the nation, saying prayer was the only solution to the nation various challenges.

He used the medium to commends the present administration in Osun State for its efforts to ensure security in the state through its various social intervention programmes.

The commandant expressed the readiness of its corps to always support government in its quest to make the state free from civil unrest.

Ayodele, however condemned in totality those filling station hoarding petroleum products just as he enjoined motorists to desist from buying petrol into the jerrican saying it’s dangerous in order to avert fire disaster.
