Babalola was harassed by the mourners at the Adeleke’s country home few minute before the interment of the senator’s remains. She was rescued by Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Chief S.O Babalola, the father of the woman politician was on his seat when her daughter was being harassed.

It was gathered that Adeleke’s death aggravated the sour relationship between Babalola’s followers and those of the late Asiwaju of Ede land.

CityMirrorNews learnt that Babalola and Adekele before his death were having two opposing political factions within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The medium learnt that members of the Babalola and Adeleke’s factions had been living mouse and cat life before the Senator’s death.

Findings showed that the recent appointment of Local Government Caretaker Management Committee by Governor Rauf Aregbesola further incited the two factions against each other.

It was learnt that the Babalola’s faction was favoured in the appointment of the caretaker committee members for the Ede-South, Ede-North, Ede-South-East and Area Council.

According to sources, the appointment jolted members of the Adeleke’s faction and had wanted available opportunity to vent their anger on their opponent.

However, Adeleke’s death presented them the opportunity to carry out their intention, starting from the politicization of the senator’s death and their eventual harassment of Babalola.

The medium learnt that those who molested Babalola were Adeleke’s faction of the APC and not Ede community.
