Prominent Nigerians Storm Osun For Aregbesola 60th Birthday

As Osun state Governor Rauf Aregbesola celebrate his 60th birthday on Thursday, prominent Nigerians, including Dr Isaac Adewole, the Federal Minister of Health, felicitated with the celebrant as they all wished him success.
At a colloquium organised to celebrate the governor in Osogbo, all those that gave remarks at the programme showered the celebrants with praises based on his developmental projects and what they called amiable personality.
Aregbesola in his speech however appreciated all the personalities that graced the occasion , his loyalists as well as those that stood by him during his struggle to win back his mandate, which made him Osun governor in 2010.
He acknowledge the fact that his life struggles had not been easy as he tagged his speech “born into struggle” stating that his experience however as an activist while in school and inputs by his political leaders helped shaped his political career and personality.
He promised to embark on more developmental works in the state as he assured workers that he would clear the backlog of salaries and arrears owed to them as soon as the economy improves.
The Minister of Health, Dr Adewole earlier in his own remarks, appraised the celebrant on his developmental works in the state, stressing that his investment in education would help to wipe out ignorance and social inequality.
The Minister congratulated the governor on his birthday, describing Aregbesola and his laudable programmes as programmes to shape the future, stating that investing in education was investing in the future.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye and the Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi both prayed for the success of Aregbesola’s administration as they equally called for more support from the people of the state for his government’s success.
Other prominent persons who spoke at the programme, including former APC Chairman, Bisi Akande, Senator representing Osun Central, Prof. Olushola Adeyeye and Speaker of Osun House of Assembly, Nojeem Saalam, all felicitated with the governor as they parise and commend the leadership style of the celebrant.
CityMirrorNews reports that the colloquium was well attended by a lot of distinguished personalities from within and outside the state; comprising royal fathers, federal and state lawmakers, religious leaders, ex governors, APC party leaders, business men and industrialists.
