7th Anniversary : Group Commends Aregbesola’s Giant Stride In Developmental Projects

A socio-political group, Oranmiyan Group,has commended Gov. Rauf Aregbesola for various giant stride projects executed across the state in the last seven years of his administration.

The group gave the commendation during the tour of some of the projects in the state on Friday.

The tour was part of activities to commemorate  the  7th anniversary of Aregbesola’s administration.

At Wole Soyinka High School in Ejigbo, the Principal, Mr Rasheed Oladapo,  lauded the state government’s effort in creating enabling environment for students in the public schools.

The group also visited the newly paved 10.8 kilometers road from Akinleye to Idi-Iroko farm settlement and 11.1 kilometers from Agoro to Ikonifin farm settlement in Iwo area of the state.

Speaking with journalists, the Secretary General, Iwo Farm Settlement Iwo,  Mr Opadoyin Kayode,  commended the governor for making life comfortable for the rural dwellers.

Kayode said  Rural Access and Mobility Project (ORAMP)  by the governor had reduced the challenges being faced by farmers in transporting their goods from farm to market.

A staff of  O’RAMP who spoke with newsmen , said  the governor had made life more comfortable for  rural dwellers through various laudable projects.

Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi,  the oluwo of Iwo,  during a visit by the group to his palace,  commended the governor and showered blessings on him for his giant stride in developmental projects across the state.

On the visit to Oduduwa High School in Ife,  the Executive Secretary of Ife Central Local Government, Barr. Jubril Omisakin,  said the edifice was magnificent and monumental.

Omisakin noted that the newly built state-of-the-art  classrooms surpasses some of the universities structures in terms of modern equipment and serene environment.

Other projects inspected by the group included the Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande Trumpet Bridge in Gbongan and the road from Boluwaduro through Health Tech in Ilesa, 

The Ede Water works was not excluded during the the tour.

Mr Emmanuel Abioye, who took journalists round the dam, said the intervention of the governor in the transformation of the dam in the last seven years was commendable.

Abioye said  with the transformation of the dam with the help of the governor,  the daily output of the dam had increased from 25 per cent to 70 per cent.

Abioye  said  the dam was supplying  14 Local Government Areas in the state with the help of the new equipment  purchased by the governor to the dam.

” We not have new equipment such pumping machine,  filters,  filters control,  transformers,  low and high lift pump,  among others.

” These equipment is assisting our daily water output supply. ”

Abioye,  however,   urged the residents to pay their water rates  to complement the  state government’s efforts. 

Also speaking,  Comrade Rasheed Raji-Ropo who led the team to the water works, described the state government efforts as ‘a life saver from waterborne diseases ‘.

Ropo , who commended Gov. Aregbesola’s intervention in revamping the water dam,  said the state government had spent huge sum of money on the dam to ensure that the people of the state have access to drinkable water. 

“We cannot be talking about sound health care delivery system without adequate water supply for the citizenry,”

” We have to give kudos to Ogden for his intervention in providing adequate water supply for the residents”, Ropo said
