…As Aregbesola, Ambode, Ajimobi, Amosun, Others Canvass People’s Support On DAWN
The six states Governors in the Southwestern Nigerian were on Monday vowed to stop at nothing other than to accomplish the set agenda for the “Development Agenda for Western Nigeria”, DAWN.
This was even as the Governors of Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti and Ondo sued for people’s supports and cooperation towards the actualisation of socio-economic and political development of the region.
The Yoruba states’ governors made the vow at their Governor’ s forum held in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The forum which has in attendance the host governor and governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state, Mr Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state, Mr Rotimi Akeedolu of Ondo state and Mr Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state respectively.
The Southwest Governors who reaffirmed their collective determinations to bring to life the legacies laid by the founding fathers of the region said no effort would be spared to ensure all round development and transformation of the region.
In their separate remarks, the host governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun said his administration has mapped out strategy to entrench the already established synergies and cooperation between and among the governors in the region.
Senator Amosun who lauded the concerted efforts being put together by the region’s governors said it is high time to deploy absolute human and capital resources towards the realisation of the southwestern socio-economic and political re-engineering.
He said the governors of the region through DAWN which is central objective of the Forum would continue to make a lead-way in resuscitating the lost glory of the southwest region.
While commending the contributions of his colleagues to face-lift the region economically, socially and politically, Amosun said pledged his administration’s continued support to the DAWN’s dreams.
Corroborating similar gestures, the Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola said the best way to gi hy education is the life policy:
