Saraki in Osun Over Adeleke Death, Says Nigeria has loss a Great Politician

The Nigeria Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Monday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Senator Isiaka Adeleke in Ede, Osun State.
Saraki , who arrived at Adeleke’s resident at 3:49 pm was received by immediate brother to the deceased, Mr Deji Adeleke.
In his condolence remarks, the Senate President said Adeleke’s sudden death was a great loss not to the state alone but to the country at large.
Saraki, who described Adeleke as a good and jovial man during his life time, said he would be greatly missed by all.
He said the way and manner the people were crying over his death was as a pointer to the fact that Adeleke was a man loved by all, adding that Nigeria has loss a great politician.
“I am here as the Senate President as well as a family member to pay my condolence.
” Adeleke sudden death is a great loss to us but it is our prayer that Allah will grant him eternal rest.
” We are still in shock. It is indeed a great loss.
” It is certain that we will all die one day but the time and day is what we don’t know.
“It is our prayer that God will give the family the strength to bear the shock”.
In his response, Deji, said the family is still in pain over the sudden death of his brother.
He said the family loved him and he was a perfect gentle man.
” On behalf of my family, I want to appreciate my brother, the Senate President for this visit.
“And it is my prayer that God will continue to give him strength to move the country forward”.
Saraki left at 4:20pm.
Adeleke , who died on Sunday morning was buried at about 11:06 am at his residence in Ede.
Before his death he was representing Osun West Senatorial District at the Senate under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
Adeleke was also the first civilian governor in the state between Jan. 1992 and Nov. 1993 on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). He was 62.
