Idiat Babalola, Aregbesola’s Cabinet Nominee Harassed at Adeleke’s Burial
An indigene of Ede, Ms Idiat Babalola who has been nominated by Governor Rauf Aregbesola for cabinet membership was today harassed by angry sympathizers at the late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke country home in Ede, Osun State.
Adeleke was buried amidst tears and tension as indigenes of Ede and supporters of the late senator were reigning curses on those who were alleged of complicity in his death.
Babalola who was sitting under the tent provided for visitors was chased out of tent by the angry sympathizers.
They attempted to collapse the tent under which were Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State among other dignitaries.
They hurled abusive words at the woman politician as she hurriedly left the Adeleke’s compound amidst harassment and hatred speeches from the sympathizers.
The sympathizers were accusing members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) of masterminding Adeleke’s death over the 2018 governorship election.
