Philanthropist Inaugurates Free Meals For The Less Privilege In Osun

Nothing less than one thousand kids picked randomly on the streets in Osun were on Monday fed through a special feeding programme sponsored by the publisher of an online newspaper publication, Aminat Ajibola.

The scheme which was powered by ‘amiloaded.com‘, and tagged “Operation Feed 1000 Kids, is designed to be a biannual program in Osun State before is being extended to other states of the federation.

The project which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was said to have aimed at banishing hunger, poverty and as well ensure that no kid is subjected to malnutrition in the country.

Launching the programme in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, the convener, Aminat Ajibola who described the programme as remarkable, said it was part of effort to give back to the society.

She said the scheme would go a long way at redefining the society, just as it aims to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich.

The convener thanked God for the success of the project which she called a commendable way of identifying with children in the street.

She said, ‘I am happy to have done this. I am delighted to identify with the street kids and restoring their hope.

“This project shall be a biannual programme in Osun State before moving to other states of the federation.

“The world would have been a better place for all if those blessed share fortunes with less privileged.

“I resolved at this in consonance with my compassion for the advancement of mankind. I am always concern about the well being of whoever beside me most importantly those who could neither feed themselves nor financially bouyant.

“I can do anything humanly possible to take people out of poverty but the execution of this creative plan through the provision of nutritious meal for the little children on the streets is just little I can do for now.

“This act of generosity was aimed at giving those young minds a sense of belonging and restore there hope which in turn will make them believe in themselves and realize that they have equal opportunities like their counterparts globally”, she added.

The train of the scheme therefore taken to Ile-Ife, Ilesa, Iwo, Ede, Ikire and Ikirun after a successful inauguration in Osogbo.
