Osun: APC’s ‘Abysmal Failure’ Will Help PDP Win In 2018-Suswan

The ward Congresses of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) was on Sunday held peacefully in all the thirty local government areas of the state.

The exercise which was held in all the 332 wards of the state, led to the emergence of ward executive members and three delegates from each ward of the state.

Checks conducted at all the wards where the exercise took place revealed that, it was characterized by orderliness and proper coordination by the leadership of the party.

Reports from wards visited by our reporter revealed that, arrival of voting materials from the National headquarters of the party in Abuja was prompt while party officials sent to oversee the exercise came early before the scheduled time to ensure successes at the end of the congresses.

Also, the caretaker committee led by Senator Sarafadeen Ishola was seen moving from one ward to the other to see to the success of the exercise.

Gabriel Suswan, former governor, Benue state and the chairman, Osun Ward Congress Committee, while addressing journalists in Osogbo expressed happiness that, the exercise was crisis free one.

He however affirmed that, the party would outsmart every other political parties in the state in the forthcoming election.

According to the former governor, “today is the foundation for PDP in Osun state, if they get it wrong today, they may get it wrong forever and I thank God we are laying a solid foundation. PDP will be back to life in Osun state.

” Its already obvious to Nigerians that APC has nothing to offer and this is why they want us (PDP) back.”

Speaking on the faith of the PDP in the coming gubernatorial election in the state, Suswan said that abysmal failure of the ruling APC will help PDP to win in 2018.

With the success recorded from today’s wards congress, we are going to wrestle power from the ruling party come 2018. He concluded.
