Adeleke’s Death: NTA Reporter, Cameraman, Driver Attacked in Ede
A reporter with Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Alhaji Tope Alabi, a cameraman and driver were earlier today attacked by irate youths in Ede.
The NTA news crew were at the Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s country home to perform their reportorial duty on hearing the senator’s death around 12pm.
The youths who were wailing on Adeleke’s death accosted the NTA workers and assaulted them in anger.
It took the intervention of right-thinking people at the scene before the news crew was rescued.
Alibi confirmed the attack in a whatsapp message, saying “what more can I say than to thank God for my life today. I appreciate those who have shown concern over our attack by irate youths in Ede while covering Adeleke’s death. ”
There is tension in Ede as at the time of filing this report.
