President Buhari Inaugurates Committee To Audit Recovered Loots

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, inaugurated an audit committee on recovered assets and loots.

The committee is expected to audit assets and loots recovered by government agencies.
The committee is mandated to submit their report in four weeks from now.
Members of the committee are – Mr Olufemi Lijadu, Mrs Gloria Chinyere Bibigha and Mr Mohammed Nami.
The committee is to audit all recovered accounts up to April 10, 2017.
Establishment of this committee may not be unconnected with the intention of the Federal Government to use part of the recovered loots to finance 2018 budget which the National Assembly will commence its consideration next week.
