It was a great visit, exciting moment and epoch making history for the spiritual fathers, leadership and every member of God of Fire Evangelical Ministry (Gofgem) on the day the ministry was hosted by the most revered traditional ruler, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

The visit was in recognition of the monarch’s strong belief in Christ and God as being manifested in virtually all his actions, steps and inactions since the ascension of his ancestors’ throne.

The ancient city of Ile-Ife was agog as the evangelical fortress and spiritual fathers of Gofgem stormed the Ooni’s palace to grace the Easter special event organised by Oba Ogunwusi.

The programme titled “Ebo Ope”, i.e “sacrifice of praises to most high God”, was dedicated to Almighty God for His guidance, protection and safety upon the lives of all from the beginning of 2017 to present moment.

The prayers and praises session were also aimed to beseech God for continued mercy, blessings and favours upon every soul.

However, the journey to Ile-Ife was a royal testimony to the fact that Gofgem has not only gone far spiritually but also evangelically as the presence of the ministry added unquantifiable colour to the success of the occasion.

While thanking God on the success of the trip, one of the media aides to the pastor of the ministry, Gbemi Jesuleke described the trip as an ‘adventurous voyage’ to royalty.

He said, “In spiritual realm we have gone far. The Ooni of Ife knows the type of being that dwells in our spiritual father, Evangelist Peter Kolajo.

“Ooni really surprised us because hardly a traditional ruler like him would be so much dedicated to Christ as he does.

“He is unprecedented in the history of Obaship in Ile-Ife as he distinguished himself in all ramifications.

“The present Ooni is a game changer because no king in the history of Ife organises such programme in the palace as Oba Ogunwusi did.

“When he heard that our father (Pastor Peter Kolajo) has arrived, he said “daddy please sit beside me. While others were removing their shoes it was only our father that was allowed to wear his shoes.

“This shows the Ooni’s humility and respect to his creator and men of God. As a matter of fact, Ooni and our pastor arrived the venue of the programme together.

“When Gofgem choirs mounted the stage all the darkness of Ile-Ife were shaken and the spirit of the most high God overtook”.
