N-Power Volunteers Clamour For Permanent Employment, As Buhari Returns
Volunteers of the federal government N-Power programme in Osun State have made case for making their 2-year engagement a permanent employment, as they joined millions of Nigerians to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari back into the country.
This is contained in a statement issued by the leadership of the volunteers in osogbo and made available to journalists, on Monday.
While the leadership of the Osun State N-Power thanked God for answering their prayers for quick recovery and save return of the president , they however urged the authorities concerned to make the empowerment scheme permanent.
They further sought for prompt payment of any backlog of salaries due to beneficiaries and distribution of devices for smooth operational obligations as promised.
According to the statement, “we’re thanking God for using His healing power on the Commander In-Chief of the Armed Forces Of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR,), we’re also welcoming our benefactor back home.
“The leadership of the State of Osun N-power thank God for answering our prayers for quick recovery and save return of the peoples’ president. We also urge the concern authorities to make our scheme a permanent one after the 2-year specified duration.
“It is indeed our desire that all backlogs of salaries accruing to volunteers should be settled promptly without delay, including distribution of devices of operation as promised.
“We also want the authorities to take note of the errors in 2016 application procedure so that it won’t repeat itself in this current 2017 application process”.
They hailed the Federal government’s initiative to empower jobless youths describing it as “one of the best initiative of Nigerian government in tackling unemployment problem in the country”.
The group furthermore charged all N-power beneficiaries to be proactive in their various places of primary assignments, in order to complement the good work of the federal government.
“As we’re welcoming President Buhari back home, we also charge all N-power members to be proactive in their various places of primary assignments in the bid to complement the good work of the Federal government”.
