Nationwide League One: Rising Stars Defeats FC Ebedei in Akure

Rising Stars Football Club of Akure on Friday defeated FC Ebedei of Shagamu 2-0 in the week one match of the Nationwide League One
Goals from Segun Betiku and Kolade Adeniji in the 43rd and 90th minute respectively were all the home team needed to ensure the victory.
Rising Stars had missed from the spot in the 15th minute of the game.
Banjo Adepoju, Coach of Rising Stars said he was happy with the result and performance of his wards.
Adepoju said he would be delighted with much improved performance in subsequent matches.
“We give God the glory for the performance of the team. I am greatful to the interim committee for the support and passion for this team.
Adepoju said he was going to work more on how his team would work more on chance conversion to produce more goals.
“The game could have ended with more goals for us,but we lost a penalty and failed to convert our chances,we will improve on that in subsequent matches.
