Fani-Kayode Carpets Buhari For Attempting To ‘Devour’ Atiku, Saraki, Tinubu
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for moving to “devour” top APC members.
Fani-Kayode said this in reaction to recent actions on business concerns of party chieftains by government agencies.
On Friday, Fani-Kayode mentioned former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, APC national leader and former Lagos, Bola Tinubu as those Buhari is humiliating despite their support which ensured he won the 2015 presidential election.
In a tweet, the former presidential spokesman wrote: “NBC has shut down Radio Continental, owned by @BolaAhmedTinubu. SEC is investigating Oando, an oil company owned by Tinubu’s cousin.”
“They humiliated @bukolasaraki, they have started on @atiku and now they are getting set for @BolaAhmedTinubu. @MBuhari is devouring his own children.”
Intels Nigeria Limited, co-owned by Atiku is at loggerheads with Buhari government and Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The oil and gas logistics giant operates in Onne, Rivers State, Warri, Delta State and Lagos.
Government had directed the NPA to terminate the boats pilotage monitoring and supervision agreement that the agency has with Intels.
NPA had based termination of the contract with Intels over its alleged refusal to get on theTreasury Single Account (TSA) platform.
On Wednesday, the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) directed the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) to place the shares of Oando Plc on a full suspension for 48 hours, effective Wednesday, and technical suspension from Friday, October 20.
Oando is co-owned by Wale Tinubu, a cousin of the former Lagos helmsman.
Wale reportedly made his jet and chopper available to the APC during the last presidential campaign.
