Shame on Aregbosola on nomination of Senator as a Commissioner?
I don’t think so.
I think shame is unto those mocking Senator Hussein on his nomination as Commissioner by Governor Rauf Aregbesola. Walai talai, shame unto those mocking the person and personality of Senator Mudasiru Hussein for being nominated by Aregbesola and even his acceptance to be a Commissioner in Osun after serving the nation as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Without apology , Shame on them. And it is this kind of thinking mentality that has led us to where we are in Nigeria . when people see those the status in political office holder not the service! Nigerians are funny lot . Very funny and cheap. No wonder, confirmed rogues , thieves and vagabonds are always out there to play fast one on our intelligence and rule us as mumus. Professor Wole Soyinka, a global personality, once said that the only post he is interested to contest for is a Councillor! For, the erudite world class citizen knows the essence of service Really, I don’t know where those people making noise over this appointment got their logic. Curious and warped logic. I don’t know.
I don’t know which law or moral ethics that forbids a person who had served as a Senator from serving as Church warden or Chairman , Landlord Association or Commissioner ? It is a poverty of idea from those who are blaming him for acceptance. To me, what he has done is a virtue and a noble act which must be emulated .This is a honourable act and doff my cap for him .
For him accepting to serve as a Commissioner is a sign of humility laced with genuine interest to serve his people. He has no problem. The people who are blaming or mocking him sould have their heads examined because something is certainly wrong with them. They are supposed to be mocked. The fact is that no post of service is too low. So because he was a Senator, he should not serve his people even if called back as Councillor.
You see it is we Nigerians that usually prop our leaders to steal or misbehave . So what is preventing him having being a Senator to come back as House of Assembly member if his people want him there? This is commendable, enviable and other reasonable Nigeria should emulate this trait. Please, service is service, no sentimentalism. I applaud the Governor of the State of Osun , Ogneni Rauf Aregbesola for being able to lure the Senator to come back to his state and plough back his Senatorial experience for the benefit of the state and Congratulate the Commissioner nominee for his acceptance to come back and serve his people.
I called on those raising their voices on this act to shut up their mouths and embrace better discourse which will benefit the nation .
