Two Men Arraigned Over Alleged Theft Of Motorcycle In Osun
Two persons were on Monday arraigned in an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court, over alleged theft of a motorcycle.
The accused include: Wahab Moruf,23, and Adedeji Abiodun, 28.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Rasaki Abiodun, told the court that the defendants committed the offense on Dec. 5 , at Ita- Olokan area, Osogbo, Osun state capital.
Abiodun said the defendants conspired with one Omisore Ridwan ,14, arraigned at the family court unit in Osogbo to steal a bajaj motorcycle with registration number WEN 627 QD and chassis number MDZA18A27CWJ68212 belonging to one Lateef Kolapo.
He said the offense contravened Sections 516, 390(9), 430(2), and 415 of the criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11 Laws of Osun, 2003.
The duo pleaded not guilty to the four count-charge bordering on conspiracy, theft, and !malicious damage.
Counsel to the defendants, Mr Najite Okobie, prayed the Magistrate to grant his clients bail in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs Sodamade Fatima, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200,000 and one surety each in the like sum.
Fatima said the sureties must be residents within the court jurisdiction and provide evidence of tax payments and two passports sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.
The case was adjourned till January 31, 2018 for hearing.
