Osun Sets To Conduct LG Election After A Decade
The Osun state Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) has fixed the 27th of January 2018 to conduct the much awaited local government election.
The decision was arrived at a consultative meeting of the commission and heads of political parties in Osun state, with journalists in attendance.
CityMirrorNews recalls that the last time local government election was conducted in the state was 2007.
Meanwhile, the new pattern of local government administration in the state has continued to generate mixed feelings among gladiators.
Governor Rauf Aregbesola recently announced a parliamentary system of governance at the grassroots, where only councillors.
