The harvest thanksgiving Mass which commenced the annual celebration was held at the temporary site of the church located within St. Charles High School, Osogbo at exactly 9am.
Adorned in colourful wares, the congregation and invited guests were full of happiness as they filled the church beyond capacity singing and praising the name of God for sparing their lives to witness another harvest which they said afforded them the grace to appreciate what God has been doing in their lives.
During the Mass, the presiding priest who is the Cathedral Administrator, Rev. Fr. Festus Komolafe said despite the challenges country is passing through, there was a need for Christians to thank God in harvest.
While giving his homily, Fr. Komolafe who had taken the Gospel from Mathew, chapter 22, verses 1-4, advised the faithful to be closer to God and serve their creator with everything He blessed them with.

Speaking at the bazaar sales event, the Chairman of the Harvest Planning Committee, Comrade Isaiah Fayemi said the harvest afforded the members of the church the opportunity to launch their new church building.
Fayemi while appreciating the presence of the dignitaries asked them to donate generously to the church building just as the congregation had started assuring that the new church would be ready before next year’s harvest by God’s grace.
He then donated some amount of money to support the church’s building project just like other dignatries like Col. Anne Emechete (rtd) and others did.
In his remarks, the Harvest chairman, Pa Boniface Oladejo, congratulated members of the church and donated some amount of money for the harvest and launching of the church building project.
