The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta, Thursday admitted 2,850 new students into both full time and part time programmes in all the departments of the institution.
The Rector of the institution, Prof. Oladele Itiola, while addressing the matriculating students, warned them to shun cultism and obey the rules and regulations of the school, to avoid being rusticated.
The matriculating students were for the Ordinary National Diploma, OND, and Higher National Diploma, HND, programmes.
The matriculation took place inside the expansive OGD hall in the school and the students took an oath conducted by the school’s legal adviser, Lanre Ojo.
The rector, who said the institution had already began the process of becoming a degree-awarding institution, added that the management would continue to create an enabling environment for quality teaching and learning through conducive lecture spaces, and 24-hour uninterrupted electricity supply.
