APC Leader, Tinubu Is Day Dreaming-PDP Senatorial Aspirant
By Olu Babalola, Ibadan
DThe Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, Engineer Abiola Olaniyan has described Senator Bola Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State as a dreamer over his statement that opposition has died in Oyo state.
Olaniyan’s grouse was contained in a press statement issued by him in reaction to a mini rally held in Ibadan on Saturday to welcome Otunba Christopher Adebayo Also former Governor of the state to the ruling party.
The PDP Oyo central chieftain said that he did not expect Tinubu to make such a statement in view of his antecedent as an experienced and exposed politician
“Perhaps Senator Tinubu was either frustrated by the development in PDP with Senator Rashidi Ladoja now there with other Juggernauts or the successful decampment of Turaki of Adamawa into PDP.
“Honestly ,Tinubu and his co travellers may be living in a fool’s Paradise to regard Alao Akala and Senator Teslm Folarin as spent forces who could no longer be reckoned with in Oyo politics. Honestly, they have lost their electoral value.
“Here are two strong political foes before but who are now joined together for sinister motives. Oyo people should make no mistake to reckon with them in 2019.The PDP will reclaim its power in the state,he said.
Olaniyan noted that the Oyo people have confidence in the leadership of Ladoja pointing out that when he was in government, things were not hard for the masses as currently being experienced.
The politician advised the leadership of of PDP to be fully committed to the ongoing genuine reconciliation going on stressing that with new national executives, the defeat of APC was a foregone conclusion.
