Osun-Ikoyi Festival: Olukoyi Seeks Government Support
The traditional ruler, Olukoyi of Ikoyi land in Isokan South Development Council area of Osun State, Oba Yisau Bantale Otunla-Kodaolu 1 has commended the International Distillers Limited, IDL and International Breweries Limited, IBL Ilesa for their annual partnership with “Osun-Ikoyi Festival” holding in the ancient town.
The Monarch made this commendation at this year celebration of Osun-Ikoyi festival on Friday.
The Olukoyi emphasised that, identification with the festival by both the IBL and IDL has continued to project the leading premium spirit as the true and authentic nature of their various products.
The traditional ruler who said the contribution of the two Corporate Companies to the festival annually cannot be over emphasized noted that the their presence is adding glamour to the festival as well.
The Olukoyi who called for the unflinching and unalloyed support of the three tier of governments to the annual and well attended festival also enjoined other Corporate organizations to emulate the IDL and IBL in their efforts towards the development of Osun-Ikoyi festival.
While speaking, the International hDistillers Limited’s Sales Operation Manager, Mr Kunle Seriki who led the team from the company to the festival commended the Olukoyi and residents of the ancient town for the festival.
Seriki, assured the Monarch that the IDL would not relent in demonstrating its social responsibility towards the uplifting of cultural and traditional festival all the time.
He later presented products of the IDL to the Olukoyi, Chiefs and residents.
Also, the Sales Representative of the International Breweries Limited, (IBL), Mr Kolade Emmanuel Olawale presented the products of IBL to the traditional ruler.
The IBL in the evening of Friday embarked on Rig show as part of their support to the festival.
