Breaking: Aregbesola Appoints Commissioners, SAs, Council Chairmen

There are indications that Governor Rauf Aregbesola might have submitted the list of his cabinet members to the Osun State House of Assembly for approval.

A competent Source in the Osun State House of Assembly said the Speaker of the House; Hon. Najeem Salam received a letter from the Governor which was suspected to be the list of the commissioners and special advisers on Wednesday (yesterday) evening.

But the letter has not been read at the floor of the house by the speaker.

CityMirrorNews had reported on Tuesday that Aregbesola might submit the list of his cabinet members to the lawmakers this week.

It was gathered that Aregbesola also submitted the list of caretaker members of local governments in the state with the cabinet members list.

According to the source, six former Caretaker Chairmen were returned by the Governor. They are: Gbenga Ogunkanmi (Ayedire), Alhaji Azeez Akinleye (Isokan), Kehinde Morenikeji (Boripe), Isiaka Faramade (Osogbo)Tajudeen Lawal (Ife-East) and Lanre Balogun (Ilesa-East).

But the source did not mention the names on the cabinet list submitted.

When contacted, Chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye said: “As at today, there is nothing like that before the House.”
