Oluwo described the secession threat as untimely “For Nigeria, for it came at a time the country is blessed with competent president ready to fight corruption that has placed us so backward for years.

He noted prayer and leniency are the instruments Nigerians need to support the president and not agitation/threat to break up.

The monarch said traditional institutions are authority of peace, well versed in conflict resolutions, praying his colleagues (monarchs) to rise up to their role to sustain the oneness of Nigeria.

Oba Akanbi noted the unofficial militancies ravaging Nigeria are products of ill-governance for years, urging the country’s leaders to be responsible and secure future of their children through quality service delivery to Nigerians.

He appealed to Nigerians, irrespective of ethic affiliation to desist from hatred speech and it spreading, and always remember we were all products of a father and a mother (Adam$Eve). He equally tasked the political stakeholders to mediate before the escalation of the threat.

“As a father of all Nigerians, I’m visiting the east soon to mediate for the sustenance of one Nigeria because when elders are in the market, child’s head shouldn’t drope. I will personally meet the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and some notable traditional rulers and I’m optimistic it will yield peace. It is unfortunate the threat came at a time we have a serious government ready to fight the genocidal disease (corruption) killing this nation. It must be addressed . The best the agitators should be doing is prayer and leniency for this government and not secession threat”

“Though, the country has been in mess owing to maladministration. Such has promoted the proliferation of militant syndicates in Nigeria. If government are responsible, the spate of insurgencies will be decimated for a united nation” said Oluwo
