Again Senate Re-invites Custom DG, Threatens to Issue Warrant of Arrest on Him

The Nigerian Senate has again directed the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali (retd), to appear before it on Thursday, unfailingly.

At a sitting of the senators today, the senate vowed to issue warrant of arrest again Ali should he fails to appeal before it as directed.

Ali had refused to appear before the senate today, a situation that compelled the lawmakers to give a fresh directive to the custom DG to appear tomorrow.

The senate is inviting Ali to brief senators on some Customs policies, notably the introduction of import duties on old vehicles and why he is not wearing of uniform as the DG custom.
